Thank you for buying one of our handcrafted clocks! We hope you’ll get many years of use and will pass it on to future generations.
MOTOR – the motor used takes an AA battery. Some larger movements may take a C battery. Make sure to put the battery in the correct way or damage may occur to the motor. The motors we use are manufactured in the USA.
HANDS – The hands we provide are delicate – handle them with care so they don’t bend. Installing them on your clock is fairly simple.
A - Hour hand – The shortest hand is the hour hand. Gently press the hour hand onto the motor shaft until it stops, taking care not to bend the hand.
B -Minute hand – Place the minute hand on the shaft and rotate it until it “seats” onto the shaft.
C -Screw minute hand nut into place, taking care not to cross-thread. Tighten until snug.
D -Second hand – Press on the second hand; you’ll notice there is a “pin” on the shaft motor. Line this up with the second hand and it’ll press right on.
E - If you weren’t provided with a second hand, you can request one, or simply use the cap nut provided instead of the minute hand nut.
SET TIME - To set the time on your clock, use the wheel on the back of the motor; don’t simply move the hands to the correct time.
